Spring
So I've met this boy.
To say I've "met" him is a bit unclear, as he's one of the grads here, and I've known him as long as I've known any of the folks around here. But then to say I've "known" him is also unclear, as we haven't really be friends since last month, when all of a sudden everywhere I looked, there he was.
Last week, he asked me out, and we had dinner at his place (he lives off-campus with one of the other grads and her fiance). We had a great time, and really enjoy hanging out together. We live in such a tight knit community, though, so we're being slow and deliberate - I have no intention of screwing up the last two months out here with my pals. Not to mention the fact that I'm off to SMA (the relationship deathknell) in a month and a half.
But it's pretty fun. He's a sweetheart. For instance, yesterday, I had about an hour after work at the church before I needed to catch the ferry. I had mentioned it, and how I was just going to stay downtown and grab something to eat. So after work, I walk out onto the lawn, and I see a tall figure longboarding down the street towards the church. Guess who? :0) We grabbed some salads from the grocery store and sat out on the waterfront and had some lunch. :0)
Well, this week is a teaching week, so I had better get myself ready.
