Life update
Oooookay, nothing much is happening except...
* Heading to the Bay of Islands, either next week or the week after that, because I desparately need a break from work. It's true that I'm good with routine stuff, but that does come with the unfortunate side effect of getting bored easily.
And the coach only costs like twenty dollars each way. Yay, advanced cheap fares! I also found a backpackers' lodge that's also very cheap.
One minor problem: I'd really, really like to swim with the dolphins, an activity the Bay of Islands is famous for, but unfortunately I'm neither confident in water nor do I know how to snorkel. Talk about impossible dreams. :D
* Embarrassingly, I accidentally banned john_j_enright with a single click. He's one of those people I'd never ban on purpose. Unbanned instantly...but it's kind of funny when this happened. I remember doing it to broccoman once too.
* And just for fun: A picture from the always great Engrish.com. You should not do an anti-nuclear weapons protest this way. Especially when one of your demands will violate the laws of physics for every atom in the universe:
Actually, I'm pretty sympathetic to the "no nuclear weapons" part. Nuclear power generation, on the other hand, I'm pretty gung-ho for. It may seem strange that I want to swim with dolphins and am pro-nuclear power generation. So what am I, really? Hmmm...Although, if you think about it, these positions aren't really opposed to each other.
