Title: Mutual Likings
Characters: Romano, Italy
Challenge: Prompt: Cooperation
Bonus Words: peace, stubborn, willing, friend
Rating: T
Summary: There’s only one way the brothers could ever cooperate on something that mattered to them.
A/N: Yeah, I think it’s self-explanatory.

Romano looked at the pot in front of him with a stubborn expression. Why the hell was he working with his brother, in the same kitchen? He was idiotic, and stupid, and…and…better than him in anything he did, so what was the point in making something together? It made him sick to his stomach.

“Okay, dumbass, you’re going to help me do this, but don’t you dare go get your friend, Germany, so he can eat with us, okay? I don’t want that potato bastard here while I eat or else I’ll get all barfy,” Romano said as he broke the peaceful atmosphere.

Italy was mixing the pasta straws and the making it soft with the hot water with a carefree smile until his older brother said that.

“Aw, but Germany’s my friend!”

“No! He won’t eat with us! Now, I am going to make the tomato sauce and you are going to make the pasta soft and we are going to eat together, just you and me. Only. It’s bad enough we’re getting along. I’m not willing to make friends with that jerk.”

“Well, then, can we invite Japan?” Italy flashed a smile of hope.

“No! No guests! I told you already. Don’t make me repeat it all the damn time!” Romano yelled as he prepared the sauce.

Once the food was ready and they had served themselves with enough pasta, Romano felt satisfied with himself. At least he had some time with his brother and he was making the effort to bond with him. Yuck.

“Can’t we invite Spain, at least?” Italy asked shyly.

Romano slammed his fork on the table. “Especially not that bastard,” he barked. Oh, no, not the tomato bastard. Just…just Italies. Just this once.

Title: My land, or your land?
Characters: America, Britain
Challenge: Prompt: Cooperation
Bonus Words: peace, stubborn, willing, friend
Rating: K+
Summary: During the French & Indian War, America decided to help Britain fight. The older brother did not want the former to get involved in the battle.
A/N: Protective brother, much?

“Why can’t I help you? I’m strong, I can handle it. My soldiers can handle it!” America exclaimed as he and Britain walked in the battle field. Well, from the battle field. The tense atmosphere had already shattered the many peaceful moments the two countries had shared together.

“I don’t want you getting hurt, America. I’m not willing to bear that pain of seeing you get wounded by that wanker, France, and his feathered friends,” Britain explained.

“Aw, but come on, Britain! My soldiers are trained enough. They need the experience, anyway. Your soldiers don’t bother to pay attention to them at all. That’s why we’re not fighting,” America said.

“Don’t be so stubborn. You need to stay in the house with the colonists. When I get back, I want for you to be there waiting for me,” Britain ordered.

However, he saw America’s musket flash in front of his eyes. He wasn’t threatening him. He had just dodged something, and had made whatever was aimed at Britain bounce off.

“You stupid American! You should have let me hit him!” It was France. Oh, great, Britain’s friend was here.

Britain took America’s musket from him and began shooting France. “I said get out of here!”

“But-“

“Now!” Britain had to push America out of the way in order to make his point. He had to listen to him for now. Later on, there would be no boss other than the president of the USA.
