Early in the morning with a side of condescension -- FUN!
Hello, all! This is another of those posting-from-a-computer-in-Allen-Library-because-Arel-came-in-to-work-way-too-early-and-has-to-kill-some-time-before-her-shift-actually-starts posts; it seems I need to have at least one a quarter. o_O
But this time it's not my fault! No, not my fault at all that I got called in for an 8:30 meeting at which I learned absolutely nothing of value (all the things that might have been of value were things I knew already, and HAD known for over a year now), and now I'm just waiting around till my shift actually starts.
I know all of my friends who work full-time think I should CRY MOAR, but you know what, it still pisses me off. >_<
But I'm letting my bad mood get in the way of the fact that this has really been for the most part a really good week. My classes are going well so far (Philosophies of Feminism and Women in Cinema shaping up to be interesting, and Intro to Environmental Science to be ridiculously easy, so that's all good).
And more importantly, my friend Cody (who I've known since middle school) has been staying with me and nekokoban this week! He doesn't have an LJ, so he can't prevent me from saying that he's a huge sweetie and I love having him here. Kat and I have been taking him to all the good places to eat on the Ave and I've gotten him hooked on Phoenix Wright (which is perhaps unfortunate for him, since he doesn't actually have a DS, but...) He goes home tomorrow morning, but before that we'll be taking him downtown so he can actually see Seattle, and not just the five blocks surrounding the University. ^^;
First I've just gotta get through work.
