So today has been a very hectic day. My mom went in for surgery to remove a lump from her colon. It isn't cancerous but about once a year around christmas it gets irritate and bleeds. This years bleed was exceptionally bad as she had to get a blood transfusion to replace lost blood.
So this morning I got up and left the house to get her and drive her to the hospital for 6:30. Her surgery was scheduled for 9-11:30. It is now 2:30 and I haven't heard anything and a call to the hospital was fruitless. I am hoping that means everything is unremarkable and ther is nothing to worry about
At the hospital she was immediately whisked off and I was told to go home. Well there was no wu in he'll o was going to drive home from the queensway during rush hour so I headed back to her placeans figured I would do some cleaning for her. I rented a steam cleaner and got a good start on her carpets did a good chunknof cleaning in her kitchen and bathroom. I will probably head back there tomorrow to do some more.
She has refused all help. When her doctor asked her if she has anyone to help her at home and she said no he said he wod get her some convalescent care she said no to that. My dad gave me some papers for her doctor to fill out for some home care that the insurance wouldnpay for she said no to that too. So when she gets out probably over the weekend she will be going home alone after abdominal surgery. My only hope is that they were Ble to do it laproscopocally.
