Thats right my friends. I got the job. I'm going to be a spot welder on 2nd shift (3-11:30). It was perhaps the easiest interview I've ever had. I didn't even get a "What if your machine does this..." question. I have to go back tommorow at 1 for orientation (which lasts a ridiculous 2 1/2 hours!), and I start on Monday. Sam won't be my team leader either. The other guy that was interviewing me said "Put a note on her application not to put her in Samantha's area. We don't want her getting any preferential treatment." Which was good because I don't want Sam as my boss. But it will be really cool to work with her. The only thing that kind of sucks about the job is the fact that it is so far away. Its on the far south side of Holland, almost to Saugatuck. I was watching the gas gauge when I drove to Holland and back, and it used up about a quarter tank of gas. Shitty. But Sam said that I could carpool with her, so I'll do that at least a couple of times a week. It won't be so bad once I move out, but right now its about a 45 minute drive. We now have one person per shift in our house. My dads on first, I'm on second, my moms on third. Interesting to see how it will all play out. I'll probably never see either one of my parents. I guess its adios to all of my free time too. But I'm glad to be working again. I want the Buckcherry and Hinder cd. I've taken quite a fondness to these two bands. Also, I need a tape/CD converter. Only a tape deck in the Pathfinder. I don't have enough tapes for this to satisfy me.
