While dining at Junior's Restaurant on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, New York (the original).  The couple at the next table were obviously regulars as the host seated them personally, and their personal assistant animals.  (If this is too P.C. for you, they were seeing-eye dogs)

Sitting at a bar on 60th Street, between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue in New York City some 12 years ago.  Two women chatting, one rather loudly, about a party that someone else was throwing.  The Who's who and Who's Doing What's were going to be there and it "WAS GOING TO BE THE BEST FUCKING PARTY".
