Last MWOS post, please read

I am taking the opportunity at this time to write an entry in my journal about how shamelessly I am about to sell myself out.

As you may or may not know, I am a member of the inappropriately named Montreal-West Operatic Society (aka MWOS), a troupe of volunteer amateur, student and professional performers who put on a Gilbert and Sullivan production once a year. (Just for the record, this isn't opera. For one thing, it's in English, and the stories can be easily understood by anyone who can keep love triangles straight and suspend disbelief for an hour or two)The quality of our performances are quasi-professional and much fun is had by all on Monday and Wednesday rehearsals in the Montreal-West United Church on Westminster at 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM. This year, we are performing The Yeomen of the Guard on Mays 3rd, 4rth, 5th and 6th at Parkhaven Theatre.

We have hit a slight snag, though, because the Yeomen of the Guard requires a large cast of men in the chorus, and we simply don't have enough. All our men are either principal characters or Yeomen. So far we only have one Townsman.

Please give Eric the Townsman some company! If you know any guys living in Montreal and able to sing solidly enough to be in a 4-part choir, and if you are willing to pimp MWOS to this person, I will give you a commission.

This probably won't have any effect whatsoever, but you never know until you try, right?
