Exciting week!!
Hey all,
Brandon and I have been on vacation this past week until Sat night. Our vacation included camping (in a tent) at a State Park only a few miles away... But the best part was there was no video games, Ipods, TV, etc... At night we sat by the campfire and read at night in our tent... Good quality time. We had 2 WONDERFUL beach days -- they have a beach and a lake there... We spent a total of about 16 hours in 2 days on the beach... Brandon tanned really well and I kinda got burnt but it is now a nice tan...
Sunday morning my boyfriend Tony and I got up and drove to Yonkers, NY to attend a Chor-Thai church where my good friend from college (first year BBCE in Boston) attends... He is American but is getting married in March to a wonderful girl in Thailand... I really enjoyed the service as it was in Thai, but interpreted in English. After Church, they have a Lunch for everyone and then there are some classes to take. My friend Chris teaches a discipleship class for Jr High and HS students, but Tony and I attended a Genesis class taught by a converted by a Messianic Jew. It was AMAZING... After that, we met at a Thai restaurant with some friends and basically talked about our journey to Thailand in March. Yep, I am going to Asia in March for 16 days. So far it is just me, but I am hoping that Tony can get time off of work to go also.. This is a trip of a lifetime.. I will also miss Brandon, but I just can't turn this down. Now today I am trying to clean up from camping and get some stuff done around the house. Too humid to be outside.
Brandon and I leave for Disney on Aug 9th for a full 8 days and 7 nights... getting really excited about that...
Otherwise, Congrats to my friend Bobbi on the birth of her baby girl who is now home with her!!
I am going to try to keep this posted a little more than I have been... All my friends, haven't forgotten just been really busy with other things...
