Dear Friends in the 30s,
I'm sorry all of those years ago for freaking many of you out with my unending love and fascination of all things 80s. While I know some of you thought it was endearing and cute, I know that there are a few of you who were not exactly comfortable with it (but did grow to love it). And I was 20, and I didn't get it why you all reacted that way, but things have changed and I realize that now.
I realize that when I see 16-18 year old fashion bloggers obsessed with grunge or lycra dresses ala Clueless. Or when my 18 year old nephew is talking about listening to Limp Bizkit and how "Mtv doesn't play music videos anymore," to which it is REALLY hard not to say, "Kid, Mtv has not played music videos within either of our lifetimes."
It's screwing with my head in a way, to feel this distinction of not being the youngest generation, and I'm sorry for contributing to that.
