Dark Carnie Fest Going-Ons
+ I have finally booked my DJ for Dance Party Massacre! I have 3-4 murderers lined up, and a handful of lovely and wonderful victims. More are appreciated, for whomever may be interested (or we'll need lots of volunteers who can do make-up, along with other technical aspects).
+ David Lee Roth, of Van Halen fame, was born in Bloomington. His daughter, Brenna Lee Roth, is a B movie actress, doing many horror films (and Spiderman 3). She wants to come to Bloomington, so she is coming to our festival. And she wants to get murdered at my dance party. This excites me.
+ It's like fairly certain that we have a band lined up for Dance Party Massacre!, too. But not just any band. This band is called The First Jason, fronted by Ari Lehman, who was the original Jason from Friday the 13th. Do you KNOW how stupidly excited this makes me? I'm going to ask him if he'll murder me on stage. And get him to sign ALL of my Friday the 13th related memorabilia. Then tell him its because of the franchise he took part in and started, that I was more excited about Friday the 13th than my own fucking birthday.
+ The round of films we reviewed last night were good. Only one isn't likely to make it in to the festival, and I think the rest were some of my favorites to date.
- I don't know what happened to my amazing Friday the 13th poster that I've had since I was like 16. Did it get destroyed post-K? Did my mom leave it at her house in the attic with the rest of my crap? :( :( :(
