Lions ain't the kind you love enoughhhhhhh
I am in the bathtub at 9 am, because I am home sick from work.
I probably would have gone to work if I hadn't been running late, but I was. While jogging to make it to the bus on time, I had to stop, unzip my coat, and try not to get sick on the side of the road. Mm, yeah, I called my boss and walked back home. My throat is swelled up so that its hard to speak, and my nose is stuffy.
I wanted to shave my legs, so I turned on the bath water. That felt wonderful so I brought my laptop in here to watch Greys while I take a bath. Unfortunately, it took me a very long time to realize I hadn't hit the stopper, so now I'm waiting for the hot water tank to heat back up and I'm pretty chilly.
We had an order this morning for 2 huge wrap trays which I would have enjoyed making ( made extra salad for today, I was set). I don't like losing $72 today either! I will now also just be making up lost hours rather than clocking overtime which I would have done this week had I not missed a day, because yesterday was a 10 hour day for me. The decision to stay home was not made lightly.
On to better things! Wes had asked to stay at his place tonight, but I called him this morning to tell him I'm sick and didn't want to give it to him. He said he was coming over after class to check on me :).
I am so excited for next weekend! It will be Valentine's weekend (I've decided), so I booked a romantic cabin for the 18th and 19th near the Smoke Hole Caverns, which Wes and I will go explore on Saturday day. This cabin has a heart-shaped jacuzzi tub in it, and a wood burning fire place! I plan on using both simultaneously, with strawberries and champagne :).
I want to tell you more but I'm getting pretty cold and am suddenly done typing, so real quick:
the weekend after that, Wes and I are going to DC (2 dinners, a show, travel, and hotel for 100 bucks) with my professor, who I went to lunch with a few weeks ago and who told me I was an excellent student etc, and did I want ot come on the trip to DC, and bring Wes along? I am no longer a student, and Wes was never a student of his. I'll get to see Jes and Sean and maybe Mom and Dad then too.
Lida Rose has been very funny lately. EDIT// funny in a good way, shes been making me laugh all the time
