It was supposed to be the first of NEWS' 3-day break before they resume their usual idol activities. 3 days of bonding and relaxation was awaiting them and they had plans. Yamapi was planning on asking Shige to join him for a picnic and the TegoMassu duo were supposed to take Koyama out for a spa day. All these plans were halted when they recieved an early morning phone call from their manager that they had to be at the Jimusho by 9AM sharp. Apparently, Johnny-san had ain important announcement for all the debuted groups and that's how they found themselves inside the conference room with KAT-TUN, V6, JUMP, Tackey and Tsubasa, Arashi, TOKIO, KinkiKids, and Kanjani8 via video-call.
"Ne Pi." Jin whispered beside his bestfriend. "Do you have an idea what this is all about?"
"Not a clue. This would be the first time everyone got together when its not time for countdown." Yamapi said with a frown.
"You-dachi, Good Morning." Johnny said as he entered the conference hall and took a seat at the head of the table. "I have a very important announcement to make. I recently received news that Korean boy groups, such as Super Junior and Big Bang, have penetrated the Philippine music scene. I had contacted a production group in the Philippines to see if there is a chance that we could as well. The group conducted a survey and their president is here to give her findings. Please wear the translator earpieces that's placed before you for she doesn't speak much Japanese and has decided to give her results in english."
"I heard the Philippines is a tough country to break." Shige whispered as he put the translator into his ear. "You think we can make it?"
"Let's wait for the announcement. You'll never know ne?" Koyama said with a smile.
When everyone was ready, a girl who looked like she was in her early 20's and a guy around his late 20's entered the room. The guy sat beside Johnny and was smiling as they talked in hushed voices. The girl then walked to the podium and started the projector as the lights shut off.
"Good morning everyone. My name is Alicia Cruz from XingXin Productions. Our company handles the concerts of bands from Korea and Taiwan. I'm looking forward to working with you."
"She looks cute." Massu whispered with a small smile.
"Crushing on someone other than gyoza Massu?" Tegoshi giggled quietly.
"We conducted a survey among the 'J-Culture' enthusiast groups in the Philippines to get a good view on the current standings of Japanese Talents in general and here are the top 5 results." She clicked a button and a table appeared on the screen. "The top three spots were taken by Utada Hikaru, L'arc~en~Ciel, and Gackt. On fourth place is Arashi because of the dramas Gokusen, HanaDan, and, though it wasn't shown in the country, the news about Matsumoto Jun's portrayal of a half Filipino won the hearts of many."
"As excpected of Arashi ne?" Kame whispered as Arashi gave out cheers of joy.
"Tied in fifth place are NEWS, KAT-TUN, and Kanjani8 because of the dramas Gokusen and Nobuta Wo Produce, Kurosagi, Prodai, Yukan Club, and One Liter of Tears. We have already talked with your management and theres no doubt that Arashi would be performing in Manila by early 2011 to give us time to inject their music and videos into the music scene. As for those tied in in fifth place, Mr. Kitagawa would explain the details."
"Thank you Ms. Cruz. Arashi, you may go and have a talk with your manager regarding the details of their upcoming Manila concerts. All the other groups, thank you for your time and you may now go except for those in fifth place. Eito, stay on the line." Johnny said before he turned and thanked their guests and asked them to stay in the room until they finished the discussion.
"This is exciting!" Jin said as he hugged his boyfriend.
"Jin-Jin, as much as I love you, I don't want us to lose our jobs." Junno said as he moved away from Jin and sat beside Ueda.
"B-but..." Jin started with a pout.
"Junno's got a point Jin." Ueda smirked."Your image regarding Junno is almost the same as Koki's."
"Uebo, don't start with me." Jin glared at their unofficial leader then focused his attention back to Johnny.

"A contest huh? This should be fun." Koyama smiled widely.
"You're just happy because Nishikido-kun would be back earlier than expected. I wonder how we'll do against KAT-TUN and Kanjani8." Shige grinned as he nudged his bestfriend's arm gently.
"Of course I am. I miss him so much already. We'll just have to smother the representatives with lots of member-ai." Koyama smiled as they sat on the couch.
"At least Ryo-chan wouldn't be observed individually. It wouldn't be fair to him if he would be. He loves both groups equally." Yamapi said as he draped his arm around Shige's shoulders.
"Are?" Koyama grinned and raised an eyebrow on his rapidly blushing bestfriend. "Gesshi, is there something you're not telling me?"
"A-anou..."
"You're too cute!" Yamapi chirped as he pinched Shige's cheek.
"TOMOHISA! That hurt!" Shige scowled and moved to the other side of Koyama as he ignored his whining boyfriend.
Koyama couldn't help but smile at the two when his phone rang. He excused himself from a very grateful Yamapi and a pouting Shige as he walked to the other side of the room.
"Ryo!" Koyama said as he excitedly answered the phone.
"Hello to you too Iro-chan." Ryo laughed softly. "I can't wait to be home tomorrow! I want to see you."
"I missed you too. So you better hurry back here before I take the next Shinkansen to Osaka."
"That doesn't sound too bad, at least those people won't be able to observe you. By the way, the guy with the president of the production company looks familiar. I think I saw him in one of your photo albums from middle school."
"Really? I didn't notice. I was too busy looking at you on the video screen. You slimmed down again."
"You'll just have to feed me lots of food when I get back. I think I got Yamapi's addiction to Ramen and Massu's adoration for Gyoza ever since you made them for me."
"I'll treat you to Ramen and Gyoza at the restaurant. I think its time my parents meet you."
"That would be perfect." Ryo smiled softly.
"Did somebody say Gyoza?" Massu rushed into the room with a laughing Tegoshi on his back.
