Stage Name (if any): Violet Rotwood
Personality:
Rukia holds a strong front, something strange from a girl of her petite stature of 4’ 11”. She often acts and talks like a boy, not shy about bossing people around when she sees wrongdoing and she has a habit of taking her job far too seriously at times. However, she is also curious about the world that she never was quite a part of, highly entertained by mass-marketed childish things such as comics and figurines (the famous “Chappy the Rabbit” being a favorite character of hers that she often doodles).
At the same time, she is insecure about her own ability to do things to the expected levels her 'brother' holds her to. She has a huge sense of responsibility and this can often prove to be a weak point. At other times, it proves to be her strength. Overall, she is a very no-nonsense person.
History: (can be changed if the player of Renji or Byakuya does not want his history to be this way)
Rukia had a hard life growing up in an orphanage located in the slums of downtown Los Angeles along with her friend Renji. They were quite the rascals, stealing out of the orphanage from time to time to sneak into the local movie theater to see the latest flick. The action films and the stars that the boys were all over were fine and dandy, but Rukia was drawn to a particular actress whom she admired greatly for her roles in romantic dramas: Hisana Kuchiki. It was the young girl’s dream to meet the actress one day but that dream came to an end when Hisana suddenly passed away from a tragic illness.
At the age of fifteen, Rukia decided to pursue a career in acting, going as far as to submitting applications to various schools specializing in acting with the hope that one would accept her even with her non-acting background. What she got instead was something beyond her wildest dreams at first glance. The great director Byakuya Kuchiki - the husband of the actress Hisana Kuchiki - had found her resume and taken so much interest in her that he adopted her on the spot. She was hesitant at first but was urged by Renji to accept the offer.
Rukia found herself relocated to Bel-Air to live with Byakuya and was quickly cast into some small roles in movies by other directors. Though she went up in social status, Rukia cannot help but feel lonely as her adoptive brother remained distant from her and as others talk behind her back; gossiping that the only way that she could find an acting job was if her brother pulled the strings. She grew fond of the only person to treat her normally; a famous animal trainer named Kaien Shiba who gave her nothing but words of encouragement. She developed strong feelings for the married man and spent a lot of free time at his side while on the set. However, one day during a shooting, a trained tiger loses control and maims several people. This number includes Kaien who is fatally wounded when he tries to protect Rukia. Needless to say, she feels a great burden on her shoulders. The fact that the star Ichigo Kurosaki looks exactly like him does not do much to settle her guilt as she sees him walking about.
Nevertheless, Rukia tries to continue her career but is hindered by the one who had helped her in the beginning. For some reason, Byakuya Kuchiki refuses to help her find bigger and more serious roles than novice ones and it seems a good number of other directors have been influenced by this decision. Another curious thing was that Byakuya never once talked about his wife, the famous actress that Rukia deeply admired and that the reporters had once physically compared her to. Rukia can only imagine why this is kept so secret.
Now, at the age of nineteen, Rukia has decided to move out to her own apartment near the studios in attempts to get her foot in the door. She has promised her brother if that she does not succeed within two years, that she would return to her university studies. Determined to make it on her own and not because of her brother’s reputation, she takes on a stage name. With the first year gone and only two minor supporting roles to show for her efforts, she has only one more year to prove to the world that she can shine as a star.

The girl paced around at the front gate of the massive mansion. Such a building had a bad habit of looming over people and making them feel small and incompetent, even if one used to live within its walls.
“Brother, I’m glad we - no, I am pleased that you wan- no, have invited me to lunch today….” Rukia muttered softly to herself, fine-tuning the words in her head. She was not at all pleased about it and was rather nervous about the meeting. It had been two months since she had received word from her brother - not the sort that would simply invite someone over for a meal for nothing.
She laced her fingers through the gate’s decorative vines. She had to concentrate. It was going to be a simple lunch. Not like yesterday’s debacle when she had lunch with Renji. She had lost count of just how many times she had to yank his ass back down in his chair.

“Renji, how are you ever going to make in this if you keep letting comments like that get to you?”
“Yeah, Renji, how are you ever going to make it when you take orders from an elementary school runt?” the offender mocked once more.
It was the last taunt he got to make that day before Rukia lunged at him with a marker, and it was the last time both Renji and Rukia were allowed into the café.

Maybe this was what the lunch with Byakuya was to be was all about. Rukia sighed again. So much for building up needed confidence.
