Just not meant to drive...
After it taking me 5 years to get the motivation to get my license, I've come to the conclusion that I'm just not meant to drive. Period.
Lsat Wednesday night, on our way home from work, somechick and I got into a car accident. I'd just turned a corner, started to accellerate a little, and this asshole decides that oncoming traffic only comes from the RIGHT, and after tried to beld it across 4 lanes of traffic on a busy street. I slammed on the brakes, but took the whole side of his minivan out. I mean, it was crunched. Beyond crunched.
Anyway... we're both okay for the most part... still sore, but it's mostly all drifted down to my lower back. My shoulders still have stabbing pains in them when I sit for any length of time, but I'm hoping that'll go away in time.
So! That brings us to Saturday... when my car got stolen. Now I'm vehicle-less, having to pick up somechick for our carpool, and can't stay at my boyfriends place anymore.
HRMPH. Talk about adding insult to injury. :( I was just settling in.
Maybe if I'm lucky, my boss will let me use one of our company cars for a couple of days... but I doubt that very much. So I'll be around quite a bit for the next week or so... miss me? ;)
