Yep, I'll post about episodes two weeks after the fact. I'm a trendsetter that way.

I have to admit, that was a good, sneaky way to get Vandal Savage into Smallville continuity. They never said the name (and no one even called him a savage! I expect more from you, SV!), but there are only so many immortals running around the DCU.

Seeing Dean Cain get knocked around would have been worth the price of admission alone, but I always like when Smallville remembers that it's part of a larger universe. And I liked the nod to first season continuity; they could have made up a random meteor freak, but bringing back Sasha was a nice touch in a show that's occasionally...well, let's just say continuity-challenged.

This Don Mattingly thing is killing me. Donnie Baseball is one of the reasons I started rooting for the Yankees in the first place, back when they couldn't win at bingo, let alone in the playoffs. I can take Torre getting canned; everyone pretty much expected that. I can take A-Rod opting out; we all knew there was about a 50-50 chance it would go either way. I can even deal with the Bosox winning the Series (even though it fills me with rage).

All of that happening, and Mattingly jumping ship? This is a bad, bad time to be a Yankees fan, people. There's more coming, I can just feel it.

sports, i love this show, argh!
