I think Ruby actually did care for Sam. Her last speech, she's bragging, but she's also trying to make Sam feel better. She cared for him, but that didn't stop her using him to free Lucifer; the two are not mutually exclusive.

You got any unpopular White Collar opinions?

I never got the hating on Ruby. She was pretty awesome to pull all that off.

I loved Kate. I don't believe for a second she's actually dead.

Yes, exactly. At the beginning it was probably straight manipulation, but someone who didn't care about Sam wouldn't have bothered telling him how he was going to be rewarded and stuff.

I think I've said before that what that arc really needed was an episode where Cas got fed up with Samuel being a distracting irritant and threw him into an AU where his scheme worked and he got Mary back, just so he can finds out what a bad idea that would be
yessss.

Avengers: the entire second half? I had flashbacks to 9/11 (ymmv? tmi?)

Cloverfield actually did that to me, although I'm pretty sure it's supposed to. (I've always read that movie as being about 911 the way Gojira is about atomic bomb, if that makes any sense.)

The Avengers fighting aliens in the streets of NYC is such a thing in the comics that I knew it would be in the movie. I was better prepared to see it.

I still need to see Cloverfield. And, yes, that makes perfect sense on the Gojira=atomic bomb allusion.

It's one thing to see attacks on NYC on the comic page. I guess it's another to see it on the big screen with sound and everything :/ boy was I grateful for Whedon's fight-and-quip action scene style. The Hulk made me laugh a couple times, so did Cap + the NYC cop. It distracted me from depressing thoughts.
