Klub Kandy

I know right. Such a dodgy name. I've always avoided going for this, since it's an Asian party thing where I've been told that more often than not, creepy guys (apparently it's mostly non-Asians who have an Asian girl fetish, and it did turn out to be true *sigh*) hit on the girls. But since it was going to be an early Halloween party held at Family (which I haven't been to, but it does have a very good reputation), and a huge group of my friends were going as well (so it would be safer), I thought what the hey, why not. I've always loved costume parties. =p

I was told about it pretty late though, so I only had a few days to put together a costume. And as always, I went about planning it down to the very last detail. I decided to go as Mistinguett, Queen of the Paris Music Hall. She was also a proprietress of the Moulin Rouge, so Rachel (went as a cowgirl), Cheryn (Santarina), Loga (Greek goddess), Eliane (devil) and Carol kept calling me 'Pimp Mama', especially since Carol was dressed as one of the girls from the Moulin Rouge. LOL! Aaanyway, this was my checklist and sketch of the 'end product', so to speak:

On the night itself, I did bring my camera, but I didn't want to take it out based on the all too real possibility that it would slip out of my hands (due to the velvet gloves) and get trampled on by the crowd. So these were the ones I got from Maryane:

lol That's me in the background holding my ears because I was afraid that they might start bleeding. Seriously. The techno was really that loud. It took a solid 20 minutes for my ears to adjust to the barrage. XD

Trying a sip. Not sure what that was, but it tasted like yummy iced lemon tea. =)

Mmmm teeeaaa...
