Rules

1. Self-nominations are not allowed.
2. Members are allowed to nominate one story per category with the following exceptions:
   • A single member may not nominate the same story to more than three categories.
   • A single member may not nominate the same author more than five times in total.
   • These exceptions do not apply to artwork at present, due to there only being three art categories.
3. All nominated works must be posted on a public archive.
4. All nominated works must focus at least 50% of the story/artwork on Miroku, Sango, or both (Miroku/Sango), as stipulated by the category.
5. Nominations will be screened for basic readability, and may be disqualified for containing the following:
   • Parenthetical author's notes embedded in the story text
   • Complete lack of regard for proper formatting (ie the entire story is in one paragraph, or bold/italic/underline)
   • Errors egregious enough to affect enjoyment of the story (misspelled character names, complete lack of punctuation, capitalization, etc.)
   • Barring errors of this sort and magnitude or date/category-related ineligibility issues, all nominations will be put to the polls.

Guidelines & Notes

1. Nominations for the voting period will be open from January 22, 2011 to February 1, 2011.
2. Voting will be open from February 3, 2011 to February 12, 2011, with winners being announced on February 13.
3. Fiction and artwork will be eligible for this nomination/voting period if posted or updated between August 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010.
4. Stories and artwork posted or last updated before this deadline are eligible for the Hidden Treasure award categories.
5. A nominations post will be made, with members making their nominations via comments.
6. Voting will be done via polls for each category (individual posts).

Addendum

Plagiarized stories and artwork which can be proven to be copied or traced (or stolen) will be disqualified. If you suspect a nominated story or artwork to be plagiarized/stolen, please contact aamalie , luxken27, or mirsanawardmod right away.
