Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllll you need a lot of Weapons-grade uranium, but that's really hard to get, so you've got to enrich a form of uranium hexafluoride with a gas centrifuge process. Once you've got that set up, you need to building a successful detonation device, which involves getting a neutron to split some U-235 atoms, which hurtles more neutrons into more U-235 which creates this awesome chain reaction which leads to a big BOOMBut, the hard part is sustaining the chain reaction. To make sure the thing explodes correctly, you've got to separate the initial free neutrons from the uranium, and when you combine them, you've got to make sure that enough of the chain reaction thing can take place before the initial energy from the explosion causes the bomb to fail
