Breakdance, temple, cake, and Indiana Jones

Last week passed by extremely quickly. Did loads of studying, and also fun stuff after school. Hung out with my classmates and stuff.

At Thursday I checked out the Community Center. You can go there to study and use the internet (not like I need to). But you can also meet people there. And there's this board where people have put up notes that they're looking for friends or language exchange, and clubs and whatever. It was kinda interesting to read. I'm thinking I might put up a note there myself. Some people in the school are giving private English lessons and that seems like a really good way to meet people and also like a fun part-time job.

On Friday evening I followed new classmate Kenneth (from Denmark) to watch breakdance. He's a b-boy too, and really talented to boot. I got to see him do some cool flips and windmills and stuff. It was all in all a very nice experience. Alot of people came to practise outside this station (but it was under roof) and they were really awesome. I helped Kenneth find his way with the train, and did some filming of the breakdancing for him too. He's offered to teach me to breakdance, and I think I might take him up on that. I really need something to do for practise (or I'll get fat(ter) again). And dancing is so much fun!

Didn't do much on Saturday. But I got a letter from my family back home in Sweden! They had sent me Ahlgrens Bilar, a game and a movie I forgot to bring, some sunlotion (because my nordic skin does not like sun - and sunlotion is really expensive in Japan), allergy medicin, and stuff. I was so happy. It totally made my day!

Wow. Just got out of bed here, so looking a bit funky.

I did alot on Sunday instead. Anna came over here at lunchtime, and then we went knocking on Kenneth's door and rushed him out of the shower... A while later all three of us went to CoCo Ichibanya to eat Japanese curry (more about that another time). After lunch we went to Sanjūsangendō to check the place out. I live like 5 minutes from it but have never gone there before. So it was about time, I'd say!

There's only photos from the outside. Because cameras were banned inside the actual building >:(

Me and Kenneth outside the temple. It's really looong, but this is from the shorter side.

Kenneth randomly doing a handstand.

It had a nice garden. Although the weather wasn't the best on that thay. It is the rainy season after all.

The sign said that this spring was found in a dream by a monk.

Kenneth looking freaked out.

A pretty little shrine.

It had these awesome fox statues outside.

Me and Kenneth.

Me, Kenneth, Anna!

After that it was still kinda early so we went into town and walked around for a while. Anna really wanted to eat cake. So we went to Lipton café and ordered lots of cakes. It was so awesome. I ordered a piece of Crèpe/Pancake cake, and shared a second piece of Chocolate-Banana cake with Anna too. It kinda became dinner... because at least I couldn't eat anything more after that.

Kenneth and Anna relaxing in chairs at LoFt.

What a poser, lol.

Me and Anna (she always looks tired in photos).

We still weren't quite ready to go home. So we went to see the new Indiana Jones-movie. It has just been released over here (yes, Japan is a little left behind).
I must say that it was better than I had imagined. Some things were a little iffy, and some were good. But I did like it in the end. Plus, I think Shia LaBeouf is hot, and he pulled off the rockabilly look so well ♥ The scene in the pub when he got the rockabillies and jocks (I'm not American so that term might have been wrong) fighting to let him and Indy escape was really awesome.

I also think Michael Angarano is hot... and they look "kinda" alike. Why is there two of them anyways? (Well, I won't complain.) Michael Angarano did a good role in The Forbidden Kingdom. I also liked the fighting scenes between Jet Li and Jackie Chan. But I thought the movie was a bit too predictable and kliché. And why don't they ever cast a girl as the main character in a martial arts movie by the way?

Hmm... imagine a movie with Shia LaBeouf AND Michael Angarano in it *sigh* ♥
