I've done loads of new art that I haven't posted here. What a sad journal, lol. I'm going to remedy that fact right now. With a fat art post.
So, THE GAME... namely
PseudoQuest has been updated with some of my art. I have finished all the monsters, and most of them are uploaded (the programmer has to fix a few things for the bosses before they can be uploaded). You can play the game. I do recommend it, because it is fun :) At least if you're into MMORPGs.
Here are some of my favourites out of the 26 monsters/enemies that I have pixeled:
In the game some of them have colour variations as well. They are (from top left):
Boomerang Bat, Slime, Spawn of Lewis, Slime Boss,
Small Rat, Large Rat, Lieutenant Rat, Captain Rat,
Dwarf Rabbit, Rabid Dwarf, Dwarfed Giant, Phony Pony
Humangus, Minortaur, Majortaur, Bleak Dragon
I did this little painting of Snorkfröken (Moomin's love... dunno what she's called in English) some weeks ago, for my Japanese penpal Chihiro.
The original is really small. Only 7,5x10cm.
I did this centauress for round 3 of a pixelart tournament that is taking place over at
Pixelation. It had to be a female of a weird culture (i.e. not human), animated, and of a restricted size:
and the frames separated:
I didn't really have the time to do all the animations I had planned for this, so I'll probably work some more on it (when I have the time).
This was for round 2 of the tournament, we had to do a tiled isometric landscape (not my strong side, this was in fact my first iso piece), with a restricted palette.
the tiles and palette separated:
Did this little monster for the same tournament, round 1.
Round 50: Keratin Jane
And the Group Exchange: Angle Shooters
I am currently also working on a tutorial on how I do aquarel(watercolour) paintings (from sketch, to inking, to painting). Since people tend to ask me about it. I don't believe I do it the way most people do, so it might be fun for people to read :) What do you think? This would be my first tutorial ever though.
