The One For Me - Chapter 4
“It’s… me. He’s back for me.”
Kyuhyun stared after Sungmin not understanding.
“Y-you?” Kyuhyun choked out.
Sungmin only nodded. “Do you remember when I went to talk to Heechul, Eunhyuk, and the rest of the gang?”
Sungmin waited, so Kyuhyun nodded. “Well that’s what they told me. That’s why I felt so shaken. Ryeowook was using you to get to me.”
Kyuhyun vaguely felt his mind go blank.
“He….was…using….” Kyuhyun felt his fist clench. “Well,” he said grimly. “Atleast I know why he left now.”
Sungmin shook his head. “No, not yet. He left because he was offered a place in the band Super Senior by SN Entertainment. SN offered him a place as the lead vocalist. He took the offer, hoping that I would notice him. Pffft, did that ever back fire.” Sungmin rolled his eyes.
“So, is he back now because he got fired?” Kyuhyun wondered.
“No, he’s back because he quit. Apparently, the whole group started to act against him. So, to escape the drama, he quit. And, now we’ve come full circle.”
Jiust then, the first bell rang, signaling for the students to make their ways to class.
“There’s the bell. Come on, its time to disect frogs.” Sungmin said with fake lame enthusiasm as he got up. Kyuhyun laughed as he got up, too.
“Minnie, you can be so cute sometimes!” Kyuhyun giggled.
Sungmin smiled, then made a mock horror face. He gasped. “Sometimes? I’m hurt, Cho Kyuhyun!” Sungmin sniffed fakely.
“Aaahh! Hyung, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it like that! Aahhh don’t cry pleeeeaaaseee~” Kyuhyun spilled out so fast that Sungmin could barely understand it. He did, though.
Sungmin giggled. “I was just kidding, Kyu!” Sungmin gave a cute smile, his cheeks a pinky colour.
A random thought suddenly crossed Kyuhyun’s mind. ‘Wow, Sungmin looks really….pretty. Especially when he smiles.’
As the second bell rang, Sungmin and Kyuhyun hastily made their way to last period.
They ran down the halls, only 2 minutes left to get to class. As they neared the corner that was right before the entry to the hall with the doorway to the science lab in it, they heard a cry. “LOOK OUT!”
At that moment, when he turned around to see where the cry came from, Kyuhyun saw a soccer ball coming straight at his head.
Suddenly, out of no where, Sungmin appeared in front of Kyuhyun and head-butted the ball towards the opposite direction.
Kyuhyun stared after Sungmin in disbelief.
“WATCH IT!” Sungmin screamed in that general direction. Then he turned to Kyuhyun with a smile. “You okay, Kyu?”
Kyuhyun just stared at Sungmin. Suddenly Sungmin seemed very manly to him. The way he had a demanding presence when he walked. The way when he was in a room, he demanded attention. They was he was so protective of Kyuhyun.
“Kyu?” Sungmin asked as he turned around to face Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun regained composure of his face and thoughts right before Sungmin saw him.
“Yeah. Thanks for saving me from the evil soccer ball trying to behead me.” Kyuhyun grinned sheepishly.
Sungmin smiled back. “No problem” Sungmin giggled. “But, Kyu, you should have seen your face.” Sungmin mimicked it. To Kyuhyun, it ressembled The Scream by Edvard Munch.
Kyuhyun pouted. “Well, it was scary hyung…”
Sungmin giggled again. “Okay, come one we’re gonna be late!” Sungmin reminded Kyuhyun as they scrambled to get to class.
They barely made it throught the doorway as the final bell rang.
As they sat down at their seats (they sat beside eachother in ever class) Kyuhyun let out a tired sig of relief. Sungmin smiled at him.
Kyuhyun suddenly frowned.
“What’s wrong Kyu?” Sungmin asked.
Kyuhyun was about to reply, when the teacher entered the classroom ordering the class to open to page 283 in their textbooks.
Sungmin did as told, and across the top of the page was writted “Advanced Chemistry”
“Greeaattt” Sungmin groaned as he rolled his eyes.
Class started, and the teacher gave a tremendously long lecture on how chemicals react in unexpected ways; things that this class had learnt in middle school.
Kyuhyun realised that this would not get more interesting, nor would he stop talking. So, he ripped a sheet from his notebook and scribbled down:
He pushed the paper towards Sungmin who looked at him questioningly. Kyuhyun looked down at the paper then back at Sungmin. Sungmin read what was written in chicken scratch.
So do you like Ryeowook back then?
Sungmin wrote on the paper then pushed it back to Kyuhyun.Kyuhyun read what was written in cute bubbly handwriting.
No.
Kyuhyun wrote once more, then slid the paper to Sungmin. Sungmin read it once more.
Then who do you like?
Sungmin wrote on the paper once again, slid the paper back to Kyuhyun, and put his pen away. This was the last thing he would write on this little improvised IM. Kyuhyun read it with a pout.
I’ll tell you after class.
Kyuhyun glared at him, but put his pen away. Sungmin just smiled sweetly back.
The teacher continued on with the lesson, completely unaware of the little exchange that happened between Sungmin and Kyuhyun.

A/N: Well there is chapter 4. *sigh*…. I want to write a little heads up, but I don’t want to post any spoilers…like SOMEONE named miroticlove1103 did in the comments for chapter 2!! :P (tee hee)
