It is cold today with a chance of flurries, or maybe even some real snow. O.o It hasn't snowed at all this season, except for some flurries the day Adrian came home.
Adrian continues to do well--he's still very cute. He loves to smile and is cooing more. He got his first tub bath on Monday and took to it pretty well. I was impressed, though not half so impressed as yesterday when he actually reached out and batted a toy in order to make it jingle--and it was clearly *not* just an accident. Hot damn, but my kid is a genius (except when it comes to eating and burping)! ^_^V I also gave him his first bottle today (my milk, just from a bottle rather than direct from the source). I wanted to see how well he'd take to it since I'll need to be heading back to work in a couple weeks or so, and obviously I can't feed him and work simultaneously. He seemed to take it okay--less jerking around than when he's nursing. I liked it better personally. The pump feels more comfortable than his mouth (none of that damned annoying lapping thing he does--I *hate* that sensation!), and again, less bobbing around on his part. The only drawback is the required prep and clean-up. Eh. I'll probably get another bottle pumped for him before I head out with
dmoira this evening, although Dad (who said he'd watch Adrian for me) says I can only be out for two hours tonight, regardless. So,
dmoira, I guess that means either getting dinner OR a short film; we can't do both without seriously miffing Dad. Dad also might head out to comfort a friend who just lost his sister to an apparent heart attack today after I get back from my outing. Still, I'll try to have a bottle ready just in case Adrian decides he's just STARVING before I make it back.
I still need to call people. Bah. And... I think that's mostly it for now.
