NaNoWriMo
I am using this thing more as a writing journal than anything so I figured out I might as well post something else.
I signed up for this year's NaNoWriMo but I have yet to pick a theme. I have three main ideas - two are fanfiction, one is original fic.
1)Fairy Tail fanfic, canon compliant Mystogan/EdoErza - brief synopsis goes like this: Several months post Mystogan taking the throne, a series of natural disasters start wrecking Edolas. Mystogan finds out the reason for that but he's going to need help to deal with it, of course. Unfortunately, the person he chose isn't inclined to have anything with him. Erza Knightwalker has chosen exile along with Faust and she refuses to acknowledge Mystogan as the new ruler. He will have to persuade her to assist him before he can do anything about the situation. Action and romance are the primary genres.
2)Fairy Tail fanfic, AUish Jellal/Erza - brief synopsis: When Erza met Siegrain for the first time, she immediately attacked him, thinking he was Jellal. To clear up that misunderstanding, Siegrain told her he was Jellal's older twin, pretending to have lost any contact with his younger brother years ago. Feeding her some lies, he persuaded her to start working with him on "apprehending" Jellal and stopping his plans. But where is the end to the pretending and where the reality starts? This one will be dark and twisty, with an extremely manipulative Siegrain/Jellal and a terribly confused Erza. If mind-fuckery was a genre, this would be the best category.
3)My original idea - Vessels of the gods - medieval like setting, the story follows a young female general who is an avatar of the goddess of war, predestined to fight in a war between the gods. How long it takes for a human to lose their humanity? How much of the fate is created by humans themselves and how much is the meddling of gods? If you gaze into the abyss and the abyss gazes back at you, will you keep the eye contact or revert your eyes? These are the questions that are asked in this. Action and spiritual are probably the best fit for this one.
So, what do you think? I really like all of them and can't decide.
