No, my new job does not involve ovens.
Today was my first day tutoring Math and Science at a Jewish school here in Dallas. I really like it. The people are nice, and it's rewarding work.

In other news, we now have a convection oven! It's kind of like a toaster oven (and it's in the same aisle), but a better way of heating, and in our case, bigger. We're going to be using it for dairy things... when we eventually get dairy foods. Kosher dairy products are expensive.

More in the "I'm not in Arizona anymore" category:
The fact that there's grass in the median on some of the roads here (and sometimes lush trees!). In Arizona, the decorated medians are filled with orange/red sand and dirt, with the occasional palo verde tree.
Generally, though, I'm getting used to the area - I know my way around the major streets within about a 5-mile radius in most directions, and I haven't used the GPS in over a month.
