I'm skiving off school today to be finally able to finish my Icelandic essay. Does that sound contradictory or what? At least it's a great feeling to be finally done with that stupid essay.

Despite of being slightly ill yesterday I went to town to protest with the other women. I was was with Halla the Infrared and Lísa the Ultraviolet and we got squashed in the throng. Someone thought Lísa was my mother. For some reason I find that rather disturbing, probably because Lísa is only two days older than me.

Just as I was on the bus home, I got a call from my mother. She told me that to celebrate Jared's birthday they were going to Nexus and afterwards to an Asian restaurant. I didn't have the energy to stay in town much longer, so I told her that I'd meet them at the restaurant. This meant that I was by myself when I came home, but I was way too exhausted to enjoy it.

The dinner at the Asian place was probably the best part of the day. I finally gave Jared the present that I'd been carrying around all day. I hadn't even dared to put it in my school bag, because I didn't want the bow to get squashed. It was a Sudoku book, and I think Jared was rather pleased. It's weird to think that I have a 20-year-old brother now. Now he's not a teen anymore, but a twen. Mum says that the twens are the funnest age, because you're old enough to do anything you want, but still young enough to actually want to do things.

Which reminds me; it's Halla the Infrared's birthday soon, and I kind of want to get her something cool. Any special wishes or should I just surprise you?
