1. People at school are so used to seeing me hyper and jolly that they expect me to be hyper all the time, even when I'm feeling ill or down or just tired.
2. People constantly want me to share my talents with others, ie. speaking German, reading stories I've written, singing Beatles songs. While the first one is only kind of annoying, the second one can really be a problem because I don't always have a short story in Icelandic at hand - in fact, I don't think I ever have a short story in Icelandic at hand.
3. Even though I'm not a straight A student anymore (or the Icelandic equivalent of straight A), some people still mistake me for a nerd and become surprised when I tell them that school is giving me trouble.
4. Some people seem to find it difficult to realize that there is more to me than the obvious things; for example, yes, I love the Beatles but it's not the only band I listen to. And, yes, I speak five languages, three of which fluently, but I'm not a genius.
