Greetings, this is The Scholar speaking. I'm part of Miriam's mind, as you might know.
And I'm The Child! Hiiiii!
And here's The Rebel. Hey there!
Yes, right. I thought we should make a list of the things we need to do before going home for Christmas, so-
CHRISTMAS!! Christmas, Christmas, Christmas!
Yes, that's nice. Anyway, there's a lot we need to get done, so-
There'll be presents and snow and gingerbread and candles and food and carols and friends and-
Can we concentrate, please?
Yeah, shut up for two seconds, will ya?
*pouts*
Right. Let's start with tonight, Monday the 15th of December. We should do homework for tomorrow and, if we have time, clean our room a little.
Did you say "clean our room"? Ugh!
You know it has to be done, Rebel.
Yeah, the mess isn't nice. But can we read something fun when we're done? Like Terry Pratchett?
If we have time, yes. But let's go to bed early or we'll oversleep tomorrow. We can't afford to miss any more classes. *glares at The Rebel*
Hey, sleep is important! And it's not like we missed anything good in those Tuesday classes.
Anyway, tomorrow is Tuesday the 16th of December. We have a class to go to, and afterwards we must speak to the tutor about the assignment that we didn't do.
'Snot my fault.
Did I say it was?
You were thinking it.
And while we're at the university, we might return some books to the library and print out our tickets.
Let's go Christmas shopping on the way home!
I don't think we can. We have homework for Wednesday, you know.
But the class is in the evening. We can do the homework before we go.
It's better to have time to revise it, you know. So, homework tomorrow afternoon, and then another lecture in the evening.
Does that mean we can go Christmas shopping on Wednesday?
Wednesday 17th of December. And we'll see. Personally, I think it's more clever to do laundry on Wednesday.
I don't like doing laundry.
Neither do I. It sucks.
But you like wearing clean clothes, don't you?
Yeah...
So there you have it. Laundry on Wednesday, as well as revision of homework. Then the last lecture of 2008 in the evening. After that we can do some reading or something else fun.
But not Christmas shopping. The shops will be closed then. :(
We can do that on Thursday the 18th of December.
Yaaaaay! :D
Then afterwards I'll leave you, Child, in charge to wrap the presents and write some Christmas cards.
Yaaaaay! :D I'm gonna listen to Christmas music and be all jolly and happy! I wish I had a Santa hat.
We suck at wrapping, though. It always comes out looking wonky.
Who cares? It's still fun. :3 And, hey, isn't the Christmas party in Manchester on Thursday night?
It is, but it's not certain that we're going. It depends on our lift.
We need a secret Santa present for that!
How can we buy a present if we don't even know whether we're going or not?
We can just give it to someone else if we're not going.
Let's leave it on a random doorstep.
Yes! Then we can make a stranger happy!
And puzzle him for the whole of the next year!
You are both weird.
Ooh! Maybe they'll think it's a bomb and call the police!
*sighs* Let's move on to Friday the 19th of December, shall we?
There's a thingy at church we're supposed to sing at.
That's right. And we have to remember to call Chris and Jenny beforehand to ask them if they can bring a suitcase we can borrow.
There's not much phone credit left. The Child wasted it by talking to Mika about whether Moomins eat pancakes or not.
How can you call that a waste? It was an interesting discussion!
Hmm, in that case, maybe we should e-mail her instead. Anyway, I really think we should start packing right after we come home from church. We might not have much time on Saturday the 20th of December.
Oh yes! The Christmas party is then! It's gonna be so awesome and so much fun! Squeeee! Let's wear a pretty dress for it!
What? No way! With all the weddings and concerts and stuff, we've had to look fancy waaay too often recently.
It was just the one wedding.
Unfortunately. And even you must admit that it was nice.
Well, yeah... but I still vote for trousers and oversized shirt. And our leather gloves! We don't wear them often enough anymore.
Sorry, Child, but I'll have to agree with The Rebel here. We should wear something comfortable and warm.
Then again, the wristwarmers are pretty cool too, and they don't really go with the gloves. Hmm, what a dilemma.
Let's wrap this up now! Sunday the 21st of December we go to church and will then probably stay at Chris and Jenny's place for a while until we have to leave for our bus to London.
