嵐のソモソモ 4

It's amazing how Aiba changed over the years since he was a child. But I guess his sunny disposition is thanks to that :)

from 7/15 11:00 am

Q: Do you remember when he was born?
A: Since he's my first child, the physical experience was all new to me. The pain exceeded my imagination. But the moment I saw him, I forgot the pain. Mysterious, isn't it?

A: I don't remember her telling me it was very painful!

An episode during her pregnancy:
A: Since it would be a breech delivery (feet-first), I had to exercise for it.

A: I saw her picture in her maternity figure. She had a delinquent (yankee) style.

N: Your mother was a delinquent?!
A: She's not! I said the style was!

Q: How did you come up with his name?
A: I researched by reading books. I liked the character "雅"(grace/elegance). I named him with the thought of wanting him to live gracefully, with reservations for his feelings.

N: Mom, that's too bad (.゚ー゚)
A: It's not 'too bad', right?!
N: But well, maybe it's true that you're placid

(Other kanji choices for 'Masaki': 雅樹 (grace+wood)、雅己 (grace+self/serpent).
A: If it's the character "己", my personality might be different. It's Showa-like.

Q: What kind of child was he?
A: He was very shy of strangers. He had a timid personality. (So) when he magnificently did a recital, even us, his parents, were surprised!

Arashi: What kind of recital?
A: I never said it until now, but I did piano recitals many times
N: You were shy, eh~
S: I just thought that we were (really) strangers when we first met in Hawaii
N: Aiba-san was that kind of person, you see
A: There was no one who's the same age as me, and since I was shoved in a group of senpais, I didn't talk that much. I was an introvert
J: But even if you were shy on one side, we also had a glimpse of that active side of you. You have both sides.
A: I love the real show more than the rehearsal
N: That's why you cannot remember the dance steps~

A: He was a sickly child, and was hospitalized often. He couldn't endure whenever his small body and thin arms had an IV drip.

A: (Because he was frequently hospitalized) My mom became good friends with the doctor. I started swimming because the doctor recommended it to my mom.

Q: Your memories of him as a child?
A: We went to the beach, mountains and skis. Now that I thought about it, I'm glad I took him out somewhere. For some reason, children refuse (to go out with their parents) themselves when they came at a certain age...

N: Aiba-san, you were that cold?!
A: No, no, when you turned middle school, don't you want to hang out with your friends instead?!

S: But didn't you have a trip with your family recently?
A: Yeah, yeah. Last year, we went to a hot spring in Hakone! We even watch Hakone Ekiden! Our car wouldn't advance at all, we're the first one to reach the goal.
(lol)
J: That's a very Aiba family-like story.

(As for something that is kept as a memory, a picture of an umbilical cord and a book about maternal and child health was flashed on screen).

A message from his mother:
Born on Year 57th of Showa, 3360 g, 49 cm
The maternal and child health book that I received after giving birth. I held many hopes when I gave birth to you.
The only umbilical cord that connected us. I really enjoyed the 10 months you were in my womb. You now grew into a fine adult that surpassed your parents. I'm really glad I gave birth to you. Thank you for being born.

S: Nice story. Beautiful.
A: *quite teary* That's the first time I heard that.

And,
"I put something important inside my closet's drawer in our bedroom, and sometimes when I look at that, I smile."
(Lol, according to a report, Aiba was all teary and was holding back)

A: When I come home, I'll rummage that closet
N: Don't do that! It's something important to your mother!
S: Read the "Crane Wife"! (In some version, it's the Crane Lady)

And the last one will be Matsujun and his epic arts ^^
