the merry month of April

So what's new......it's so beautiful outside now, the weather's beautiful and the flowers are in bloom everywhere, it's not really warm but that's ok.
Last week I managed to get tickets to the new Opera house in Copenhagen. The building is just fantastic and beautiful sited in the harbor overlooking the Royal Castle. If you feel like it you can take a boat (harbor buss) to reach it. I didn't but took a walk from the near by metro and had a drink in a bar on the way. I saw a modern ballet about the little mermaid (Den liile Havfrue) They are celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of H.C.Andersson in Denmark this year. There was a lot of festivities earlier this month in Copenhagen and Odense. It was a nice evening thou and I like to do it again soon.
I have also been asked to help out a choir at a concert in the end of May, so I rehears once or twice a week with them now. It's fun to sing again. I quit my old choir after twenty nine years after a disagreement with the chorus-master. I dont't feel like joining a new choir but projects like this are fun.
My class in aqua-rel painting is out for this semester so the singing came just perfect.
An other major project is remodeling my kitchen. I have contracted a firm to do it in June. Lots of decisions to make and money to spend! Cant't wait!
Then in July I will join Anki in Moscow for a week to pick out puppies for her new "kennel". That will be fun, too!
Today I drove to the birch woods to see if the wood anemones are in bloom and yes, they were.....the ground was almost white......while I was out there I had lunch at the golf course. I think I'll line up for a membership there. It's so nice and quiet there in the middle of the woods.
Next weekend it's time for the Spring bonfires and Spring singing.
