Summary: The Wolf calls. At Bad Wolf Beach, they answer.
Follows immediately after chapters 11 and 12, back in the prime universe. Chapters 11-14 can stand on their own if you like, but they do need to be read sequentially.
Let them go [empty your hands]
Let them go [empty your hands]
Let them go [empty your hands]
Let them go [empty your hands]
Let them go…
The jump is always violent. She’s only just mastered not vomiting afterward, but the impact still knocks the button out of her grasp and flings her to the earth.
Rose climbs to her feet at the top of a cliff and gazes out over the sea, heart in her mouth. It looks the same as the beach, the sea, the cliff she just left behind, except she was down there by the rocks a moment ago. The beach is empty.
After six months of working on the jump technology, and eighteen of fighting to master the laws of time and space, interstellar diplomacy, and disguising one’s newfound pseudo-immortality, it breaks her to think she may have only teleported, only moved from the sand down there to this headland. She has to be sure, but she doesn’t even know what might be different at Darlig Ulv Bay.
At the precipice she can see further, but she still almost misses it: a sliver of blue wood far below, hidden behind the base of the cliff. She can’t move, can hardly even think, can’t do anything but let the sudden rush of golden song run through her, calling her home.
If she can see the blue wood and feel the song, it has to have worked, all those nights after the first jump test when she spent hours meditating on the floor of her room, opening herself to the Wolf and the Wolf to the multiverse. It was only two days ago that she began to hear the faintest trace of the pack instead of a lone call. Within twelve hours she had stolen Torchwood property and left her whole life behind.
If she can see the blue and hear the song, he must be here. It’s like dragging her feet through tar when she wants to run, run, run, carefully following the edge of the headland around. And there he is. It’s impossible. The Wolf called and she made it so. He’s there, perched on a rock with his hands in the sand, staring at a desolate view she will remember till the day she dies.
She can’t move, for fear he might disappear into the wind and sea.
Only now he’s standing, turning, walking. The TARDIS is a little way off from him, but he’s walking and she’s so far above, and she can’t move, can’t speak, can’t teleport with a discharged button. She’ll never make it in time.
The spell breaks and she runs like she’s never run before, sprinting for the sea.

Notes:
"Darlig Ulv Stranden" actually does not translate to "Bad Wolf Bay"; it means "Bad Wolf Beach". "Bad Wolf Bay" is "Darlig Ulv Bay" in Norwegian. Obviously there is a parallel universe involved. Naming conventions inspired by Google Translate.
Inspired by The Weepies' "Empty Your Hands", as quoted above.
I don't own any of this, but if I did, this is what would have happened.
