Summary: Rose Tyler, relentless, returns to Bad Wolf Bay.
Concurrent with chapter 11, but in Pete's World. That means about a year and a half has passed for Rose since "Doomsday". Chapters 11-14 can stand on their own if you like, but they do need to be read sequentially.

No one knows, red red rose
It’s a February morning in Bergen, Norway, 2008, on one side of the Void. It’s dark in the hotel, and darker outside. Snow is falling.
Now there is one light on in the hotel, and beneath it moves a young woman, perhaps twenty-three, a young woman with ancient eyes, hazel touched by gold. She is constantly moving, away from the bed (raking blonde hair back), out of the bathroom (abandoning dirty pajamas), toward the single small suitcase. There is all the time in the world and no time to waste, just a rhythm and a melody following through, a call and response, as of wolf-song.
She doesn’t bother with makeup, and the clothes she puts on are black, black, black like the not-morning outside. Heavy black boots, black jeans, black leather jacket. Except for one thing: a bright blue shirt, a color Norway hasn’t seen for months, and won’t until the sun stops going down. She fingers the hem and smiles, like the color is a surprise, or a pleasant memory.
The suitcase is still open, and she removes two last objects, one small, one large. Before the mirror, she drops the chain over her head and swings the belt around her waist, buckling it securely. Then she takes one last look at her reflection. Looking back: Rose Marion Tyler, a tiny key hanging over her breastbone and a loud yellow button on her hip.
She turns out the lights and opens the door, leaving the small suitcase and the old clothes and her cheap toothbrush behind her. There is a taxi waiting to take her to Bad Wolf Bay.

There is a story coming that explains just what the Doctor and Rose were up to during the time between "Doomsday" and "Voyage of the Damned". It's called "Someday", and someday I swear I will post it.
