Finals!!!!
So I have finally buckled down to work, after days of doing nothing. The doing nothing is one of the biggest mistakes I could have made, as I now have nothing but mountains of work ahead of me.
The good procrastination, though, involved going to a party last night. The Ultimate Frisbee team always throws a party the Friday before finals and it's always a blast. This time, the theme was The Cold War. I wore a red tank top with a hammer and sickle duct taped on the back. Not the most creative, but the only time I've ever followed the theme. I got $2 off to get in! (That's probably more of a capitalist statement to make. Oh well.) Anyway, the party was pretty great because I got to see a lot of my friends here for the last time before spring break. (I'm going home on Monday, btw, for anyone at home who doesn't yet know that. So I'll see you all Tuesday!!!) There was much bonding, and laughing, and dancing. It occurred to me that I haven't been at a party where I danced in quite a while and that that's really sad. I would try to rectify this next quarter, but that will involve going to more frat parties, which is not something I want to do.
I'm writing my gender studies paper on the Savage Love advice columns (as I've already mentioned here). It just occurred to me, though, that this may be the first paper I've written that I really don't think I could show to my parents. I find that kinda funny.
