Privacy violation

I got back from my trip six days ago. I was told at the airport as I was coming back into the states to "go right over here" which I did and then I was scanned by one of THOSE scanners. I am still pissed six days later. I saw no signs telling what the machine was. I was not told what the machine was. Yes, I was stupid for not thinking to ask

they put you thru one of those scanners as you were deplaning? WTF? No wonder you didn't think to ask - who would expect it?

I'm seriously considering asking to be pat down if they want to scan me. Yeah, I know it may slow me down (and I'm a nervous wreck when it comes to flying) but .... those scanners give me the heebee-jeebees.

Yeah, I had already gone through customs and everything! There was this one last security check before we could get our bags and that's when I got scanned. Sam went through the metal detector and I got told to "Step right over here
