I got back from my trip six days ago. I was told at the airport as I was coming back into the states to "go right over here" which I did and then I was scanned by one of THOSE scanners. I am still pissed six days later. I saw no signs telling what the machine was. I was not told what the machine was. Yes, I was stupid for not thinking to ask. By the time the thought entered my head the machine scanned me and it was too late. In my defense, I'd been on a plane for over eight hours, I had not slept well, I did not sleep well on the plane, my whole body was sore from walking around much more than usual on my vacation and so I was not thinking in "hey, someone is about to violate my rights" mode. I was much more in the "can I just be home now" mode. Grrrrrr!
So now, I wonder why the hell I was picked to go into the scanner. What exactly did the person screening the images that day see of me? Did they say anything? Were they back there jacking off to the images they were seeing? Then other things make me mad. Why were there no signs telling people what the machine is? The TSA web site said there would be images on the machines to show people what the screener would see. There were none! If those images aren't okay for public view then those machines should NOT be in use!!! They break child pornography laws in the UK. If the images are considered porn if a child goes through then why isn't it considered porn when an adult goes through???
If I had KNOWN what the hell that machine was I NEVER would have gone into it! I didn't even think that airport had one! Then there are the questions about why does the airport have those machines where they do. I was not getting on a plane. I was coming home. I was going to pick up my baggage. You need to scan me when I've already been through security and I'm NOT GETTING ON A PLANE?!?!?! WTF?!
RAGE!!!! RAGE!!!! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
