A nice article from exactly one month ago featuring Yonah Metzger's newest and hippiest idea of creating an International Religion Committee fighting against intolerance and violance. How neat! The article - sadly enough only in Hungarian introduces the 6 best candidates who could participate in this odd assembly. Of course Rav Metzger would be in it, but I thought the reason to be a bit questionable as they picked those, who represent the majority of a certain religion. Are the Ashkenazi Jews so numerous?
According to the good ole' Wiki they are.
(Goodness, why wasn't I born
Juhuri or
Judeo-Berber, and whoa, how is Judeo-Malayalam?)
Altough we do not have the exact data about the Sefardi population in Africa and Europe. It seems to me, that in France one can only meet Sefardi rabbis at Chabad.
It seems there is no correct data about the Jewish population in general. It would be rather intriguing.
An hour later
So many languages to learn! Lithuanian, Estonian, Khanti, Swedish...did the doctor make this to me today? I wonder...
