I have stuff!
Well, the first gift from our registry came in yesterday. (My shower is March 6th and nearly 2000 miles away, so thankfully, people are sending gifts here...I'm okay with that.) Last night, I came home pretty tired from work, so I didn't decide to put it together. But, this morning I couldn't wait anymore. Actually, Scott and I had a discussion last night about who puts things together. I think he wanted to do it, but I couldn't help myself. I told him he could put other stuff together. :)
Anyway, we got our stroller. (It's actually been the only thing purchased off our registry at this point.) Anyway, it went together really easily and looks great. It folds flat to go into a trunk and that was easy enough to figure out as well. I ordered our carrier and that will come in a week or two, so at least we'll have transportation for Monty. We'll see if I end up liking the set of them. I don't know, I've never done this before!
I can't believe that I only have around 16 weeks to wait for this life-changing person. It's strange to see that the amount of weeks I've been pregnant is bigger than the amount of weeks I have left. I'm more than half-way through!
I went out shopping for fabric on Monday. Found a bunch of great fabric and took advantage of the sales. I think it said at the end of the receipt that I saved $150. Go me. Anyway, I settled on a purple fabric that went with a lavender fabric I found. They had 1 set of lavender nursery fabrics, so I bought some of each of those. I found a white I liked as well, but couldn't find a yellow. I need to find the right golden yellow. Everything I saw was just too bright or too pastel. I also picked up some patterns for baby clothes as well, just because.
Oh, and I finally took a belly picture. Figured that halfway through, I can take one. :)

I know it's big, but I wanted to make sure everyone could see the exact things I bought...The colors, unfortunately, aren't showing up true to life. :( Going around the circle (clockwise) starting from the lower left...
1. Flannels - a purple gingham flannel on top of a white flannel. This is going to be made into one of the blankets I make for everyone. I figured I should make a few for myself. My mom seems worried that since the baby will be born in June that flannel will be to hot, but we pretty much live in air conditioning, so I'm making a few in flannel just in case.
2. White cotton with swirl print - I really liked the swirl of the white-on-white print. I tried finding a star print (white-on-white) but was unlucky.
3. Purple cotton spongey print - This main purple fabric will be the basis of the dark purples.
4. Lavender cotton solid - I based this color off of the main dark purple and the lavender set on the bottom.
5. Lavender gingham cotton - This fabric in the corner was in the nursery fabrics section but doesn't quite go with the bottom three. I still liked it enough to buy a couple yards. :)
6. Purple sparkle cotton - I guess every little girl needs a bit of sparkle, so I found this sparkly cotton and it matched the other purple cotton really well. The sparkles are iridescent.
7. Polka dot purple-on-white cotton - part of the set of nursery fabrics.
8. Polka dot white-on-purple cotton - part of the set of nursery fabrics.
9. Striped purple-on-white cotton - part of the set of nursery fabrics.
Found them all at JoAnn's. I looked at the fabric I saw online at the JoAnn's, and hated it. The purple was really garish and the stars were metallic gold. :(
And the stroller just for fun. :)
