belly

I'm going to preface this by saying I'm not a belly-picture-taking kinda girl.  I don't mind pictures being taken of me while I'm pregnant, but I don't want to specifically take pictures of an expanding belly just to compare and contrast.  I don't mind if others do.  Do whatever you'd like!  But, it's not for me.

So, I was looking over some recent posts by other people due around the same time as me, and someone posted their baby bump photo.  They're due two weeks before me, but man, their baby bump was WAY bigger than mine.  And, they had a progression, so I could compare myself to what she looked like at the same time I am now.  Her belly at 6 weeks is about the same as I am now at almost 20 weeks.  Someone else in the same thread mentioned that they were the same way.  Of course, the poster is very skinny and it's her fourth kid, so I guess she'd be showing earlier and more because of her body type. It's so funny, this pregnancy thing!

It makes me wonder when Natalie Portman is due.  She said something about a "baby this summer."  (Sorry, I have a sort of kinship with Natalie...I first heard about her - before she was really famous - when she played Anne Frank on Broadway at the same time that I played Anne in high school...and then she did the whole Star Wars thing...I dunno...And now, we're pregnant at the same time...I say "interesting.")

Lots of round ligament pain stuff this week.  I can't seem to move very fast.  Other than that, things are shiny.  Oh, and I bought maternity pants!  I have 3 pairs and I'm hoping those get me through everything...we'll see.

Met the most recent baby in the department yesterday.  Another girl (there are so many girls!), and she's 3 weeks old.  Very cute and little.

Oh, and I've finally felt movement!  My doctor said I'd have to wait for awhile due to my placenta blocking the way, but I felt movement about 3 days after she told me that.  It's been pretty much every day since I started feeling it.

whoa, symptoms, movement
