Estrella Prep

Jan 18, 2011 16:02

I have 3 weekends of prep for Estrella and a 26 hour road trip to put together enough clothes to make it through the week of the event. If I dont do some sort of timeline, I will never get it all done.

Things I need to complete:

Wool stockings
White linen Stockings
Yellow linen stockings
blue linen stockings
Yellow linen dress
Green linen dress
standard hemd
pleated hemd
braies

Timeline:
January 23 - The wool stockings are half done and as long as I get all the rest cut out this weekend I can sew them at my leisure
January 30 - Green and yellow linen gowns. The bodices are almost complete. Just need to finish the closures (which will be lacing holes cause I am so not dealing with sewing myself in all the time) and put a skirt on them. I wont be trimming them, so they will look like "standard" SCA gownage. I will be able to document the style, but its just too plain to show off my periodness or skillz.... C'est la vie. I have to compromise somehow.
February 8 - Pleated Hemd, standard hemd. This will bring me up to 4 wearable hemd's which SHOULD get me through the event, cuffs of braies pleated down
February 13 - we leave for AZ on Feb 10 or 11 so this will be handsewing time mostly.... which I will be hopefully embroidering the waist of my braies and putting the lacing holes in, finishing stockings, making lacing holes on the gowns and working on Kirk's step down tunic cause I have a helium hand.
