Still, I'd rather be famous than righteous or holy.

Ok, so cheerful_bunny asked me these 5 questions and 'ere I am, answering 'em.

1)Who is your favourite designer and why?
Nononono, already it's too difficult!! I'm probably going to be really predictable and say "Vivienne Westwood". Not just because I'm obsessed with her clothes, but I've discovered that she is incredibly nice and humble and caring and matter-of-fact. I attended a reading/Q&A she did for her manifesto this year and had the opportunity to talk with her afterwards. I have never met anybody as effortlessly gracious, down-to-earth or as "whole" as her, if that makes sense. She had an incredible aura, sort of like she couldn't understand why so many people were there, and she tried incredibly hard to include everybody. She seems very at peace with herself, and I respected that the most.

Plus, her clothes are incredible. Of course. Argh.

2)What do you want to do for your career when you leave school?
Mm... That's difficult. When I leave school, I will probably end up being a researcher or a production runner for a production company, as that's sort of... where I'll fall on the ladder, if that makes sense. In the long run, I'd like to be a freelance writer for television. I'd love to be involved in something BBC based longterm at some point because I really admire the BBC as an institution. I'd love to finally bite the bullet and do some comedy at some point.

.... I also want my own column in the Guardian and to be recognised for having a talent that's unique to me, but that's partially totally ego kicking in.

3)If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why?
To be honest, I'm happiest in London, where I am now. If I had to move anywhere else, I'd just end up choosing a similar city environment..! Maybe when I'm old I'd like to move to Barbados; my family are from there and I've always felt very safe and happy there. Plus... it's a nice,  warm, lazy place to grow old?!

4)When did you first discover lolita, and how? What was your first purchase?
I think that I first discovered lolita in 2005,  probably from a comic book or the internet or something, and probably made my first purchase some time in 2006? Up until 2007, my clothes were hideous; all my clothes were intensely ita-y and just made me look horrendous. Had it not been for my first meetup in 2007 (I think that was it?!) I think I would have remained looking consistently awful for about a year and then quit. Another reason I am very thankful for the friends I made through t'fashion. My first dress was a black and white K*Star dress. Back then, I was intent on being SUPER GAWWFICK and kawaiii1 so... yeah. I'll do a little before and after at the end to make this more interesting...

Either way, I'm a bit ashamed of my loli-roots.

5)What is your favourite food in the whole world?
My favourite meal in the world is probably flying fish cutters with macaroni pie and peeled cucumber in lime and salt. As that's something I can't get over here, really, my favourite food is either a meal wot my mum 'as made or fried dumplings from Gen Cafe with a cold lemon tea; that's a meal that always reminds me of london, of eating with friends and is something I always miss if I don't have it in a while. During exams, I ate it about 3 times a week at one point?!

Gang, if you'd like 5 questions of your own, put "Frankly, Mr Shankly" somewhere in your comment or something and I'll whack 5 out. They might be weird but that's only because I suck at this sort of thing. Either way, I like reading answers so... yeah.
