Kara/Lee pulled me in like no other. They're unforgettable. Long hiatus after long hiatus and I always came back for more.
I have no idea why people seem to dislike them. Maybe because they're feelings in general and towards eachother tend to be subtle and layered and messy and perhaps most people don't want to deal with that? I've noticed most people tend to ship the couples that come easy, the obvious choices. The canon pairings. I know Kara and Lee are technically a canon pairing and then again they kind of...aren't. And yet they were two halves of one whole so they couldn't stay away from eachother despite that. And all that messy pain and need? THAT is what I call romantic. The masses can keep their perfect fairy tale romances. I like my happy endings to be earned. (Which their's TOTALLY was and why the Daybreak/Poof was such a gigantic betrayal.)
