WIP: the alphabet quilt RST
Another cluster: R is for rhinoceros beetle, rhino and ribbon.
The beetle is a screen print (with hand cut stencil from my drawing). The rhino is a lino block print.
S is for snail (screen print based on vintage pattern), seal (screen print based on vintage silhouette), sun (screen print based on my own drawing) and spiral of stars (painted).
T is for tiger and turtle (both block prints). The tiger is on the raw orange silk F. gave me years ago.
I should mention that I've never used the photographic method for screen prints. All of these prints are hand cut paper stencils. I thought at the time that put my personal stamp on things, avoided chemical usage and made my work unique. Now, I'm thinking it was a bit masochistic. Live and learn. ;)
