Writer's Block: Life is a masquerade

Yes, I do plan on dressing up for Halloween. Even if all I get to do is answer the door. (Halloween is on Saturday this year. While kids are probably ecstatic, I am devastated. I don't have school, which is the only place I go dressed up anymore! Sadsad.) As for planning...I plan months in advance in moments of boredom but I generally end up throwing out the plans and making myself an awesome costume last minute. Last year I made myself a dress/apron thing out of an old yellow plaid sheet and wore it over one of my oldfashioned looking shirts and one of my long skirts. Add some black eyeshadow smudges in strategic places on my place et voila--Cinderella! The year before that was even better - I threw together a costume for Blabbermouth from Haroun and the Sea of Stories the night before (Maroon newsboy cap--my sister's, from years ago--random clothes, can't remember which, and a posterboard construction made to look like the page's uniform, complete with part of "Bolo and the Golden Fleece" written in colorful Sharpie).
