By the time I get home tonight, I will have spent a full 23 hours at school so far this week. Yesterday I had class, followed by more class, followed by a prop pull for my show, followed by a rehearsal with Jay. Today I had class, class, rehearsal with Jay, wardrobe pull, set building (which, may I add, took WAY longer than I thought it would) and now library time putting together my lighting and sound cue lists. I can't do it at home because did I mention my computer is broken? Well it is. What FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABUOLOUS timing.
If I'm going to be honest, I don't even kow what to do when a computer breaks. I'm assuming I take it to future shop or something.
I learned that if you want to use a gun on stage (that LOOKS real [ie. it's plastic but doesn't have an orange cap on it]) you need to have a firearms license. And so, rather than being able to rehearse with a realistic gun, Margaret gave me a wooden one. Literally, a piece of wood in the shape of a handgun with a hole so you can stick your finger through like a trigger. I also have a wooden dagger because I'm not allowed a realistic one until show night. That being said, I finally weaseled my way into getting a real pile of rocks instead of shitty fake ones. The downside: I have to go buy them and drive them to school which will be a huge pain in the ass. The upside: I get a $40 budget to buy said rocks. Therefore I am buying the largest and most elaborate rocks I can find.
If anyone feels inclined to make me dinner, I wouldn't be upset about it.
