No, Pip. You're not supposed to eat the pawn. Put it back!

[The feed opens up to the view of --- something. It's hard to tell what it is exactly that's being recorded, because whoever has Miles' Pokégear in possession today is moving very fast (bouncing up and down, spinning and twirling), and the screen is a ridiculous blur of  omg what the hell is ( Read more... )

It seems that you are entirely unable to control your pokemon, Miles Edgeworth. Kudos, for displaying your incompetence in such a public manner.

I prefer laissez-faire to an extent, Franziska. [... is his snarky reply as he's sitting with the camera, and Cara sitting contentedly on his lap, eating a berry.]

[Derisiveness, can you see it across her face. Behind her, her newly-hatched metallic bird thing preens itself haughtily. Someone took after their trainer.] There are no excuses for the lack of discipline.

Yes there is - they aren't von Karmas. And I like them just the way they are.

You are far too lax in your regiment. Of course, I will not advise you on the errors of your ways, as I will take this opportunity to surpass you in every which way.

[He sighs.] If you say so, but I don't think you should train them like you're raising a military, either.

I have never implied that I would use a militaristic manner in my training. After all, my only requirement is that they adhere to the standards of perfection. Otherwise, they are allowed to do as they please.

[As if on cue, the skarmory in the background makes a sound of assent.]

...Are you going to be nice to them?

Only and if they are deserving. I see no reason to spoil them, as you have done so.

....If they were spoiled, they'd be acting more like you. [He's half-kidding.]

[...] Ridiculous. And just what part of me is 'spoiled'?! Miles Edgeworth, I expect for you to review over your words carefully.

[Quite almost everything, dear sister.] Using people to do your biddings each time you want something done falls under the "spoiled" description very easily.

On the contrary. I am merely delegating the tasks to those who suit them either by station or by capability.

If you're a "perfect" von Karma, wouldn't it be more sufficient for you to do at least some things on your own?

I am perfectly capable of doing things on my own. However, I see no need to dirty my own hands when there are other willing hands abound.

They do not complain, Miles Edgeworth. You have no obligation to defend them.

I don't think anybody would complain against a girl who uses a riding crop against them....

I don't need an obligation to speak up for others.
