Doesn't really. [Then he sits up suddenly.] Hey, you've got Cara with you. If you have her out while you go into the gym, I bet her flame could give you enough light to get around.
[ A pause, and an odd look. Miles wasn't planning on asking Ken to come along. If his friend did come, that was fine, but Miles himself had no intention of that. ]

[ When thoughts of "I want to go home" clash with a promise to stay here, it's hard to look at the person you promised that to. ]
[His face falls, though he quickly recovers.] I'm sorry I can't be there to help you. [He injects some cheer into his tone.] I would've liked to challenge the Gym Leader at some point, as well.
