Happy Brrrrrrthday to me
Yesterday was my 59th birthday and since I spent it in one of the coldest places on the planet, I didn't do much to celebrate. Stayed inside, didn't even venture out to take out the garbage! The weatherman says warmer air is on its way, so hopefully it will be warm enough by Friday that I won't mind putting on the longjohns for an outing. Have to get a mammogram anyway, so when the hospital lets me go home I'll bus it via Walmart so I can pick up the last of the Christmas gifts.
Thanks to Judy and Suse who sent birthday wishes, and my daughter Alissa who remembered to phone me last night to wish me a happy birthday. It's tough having a birthday this close to Christmas. I'm in competition with a lot more excitement and hubbub with the lights, carols and all. I'll be spending tonight tidying up the living room, to make way for the artificial Christmas tree that is way too big for the room. The movie Avatar opens this weekend and I will be attending on Sunday with my sci-fi lovin' friends.
