Browncoat Weekend
Next week I am off to sunny (I hope) L.A. for the Creation Salutes Serenity convention. I haven't had a vacation in a dog's age, so I'm really looking forward to a change of scenery, and a chance to visit Los Angeles again (last time was 1973!).
I am on a committee here in Edmonton for the Can't Stop the Serenity campaign, and we will be screening Serenity with several other cities around the world to benefit Equality Now. Our fearless committee leader, Sheelagh Semper, and her husband were planning this convention trip and, well, they talked me into it. I guess it will take another year for me to pay off my credit card. But I tell ya, I'm really looking forward to this. Nothing releases stress for me like a convention, especially when some of my favourite people will be there.
We will also take in the beach and the Star Trek exhibit at a Hollywood mall. There's no better way to get your geek on!
