A pointless post with a total of 33 videos! Futile isn't it? :D

Ok. I've been very out of fandom in the past months because school/work/others and when I looked at all the things I missed, it was quite a lot so I'll just ignore them. But today, it's not about Smap nor Arashi. It's not related to Japanese music or groups that I like either. It's about an artist living in the countryside (in the same region as me) and I'm completely under his charm. I heard that he's more popular in France than here (Quebec), but I mean, not a lot of Quebecers listen to French music as much as French people do. He's an author, compositor, interpret, arranger, poet, radio animator, actor, he's Daniel Lavoie. And he has white hair that looks like cotton candy (I saw him the day before yesterday and he looks amazing -and he's sooooooooo tall O_O , smt like... 6'3"-).

Honestly, despite his 40 years of career, I'm so freaking glad that he chose to sing in French and didn't continue a career in America. But it's very precious when he sings in English.

Notre Dame de Paris is a musical from 1998 and that was based on a book of the same name of Victor Hugo. Daniel played the bad guy/a priest, Claude Frollo. One of the song, where he sang alongside Garou and Patrick Fiori, was voted song of the century in France. "Something that can be achieve only once in a lifetime". Here is Belle.

The English version of Belle with Garou and Steve Balsamo for the London shows

Tu vas me détruire (from the concert with the original cast and an orchestra, not from the musical, because I like his recent gray hair)

And the English version, Your Love Will Kill Me (and lol, FEATURING ALAN RICKMAN AKA SNAPE!!)

Être prêtre et aimer une femme (Helene Segara, next to him, played Esmeralda) in Chabada

He has the nicest smile ever. Seriously.
And he received a certificate for "le plus long et beau Je t'aime" (the longest and most beautiful I Love You). I still can't believe Esmeralda chose Phoebus over Frollo.
@0:53 + Un matin tu dansais

"Give me one hour with you, I'll be yours to command"

40 years of career is indeed difficult to shorten into some lines, so I'm gonna start with his English songs.

Here in the Heart is definitely one of my favorite song (1992)

I Won't Go (1992) - It's only the song

This one is completely coming out of the 80s

He also made a cover Billy Joel's Piano Man with Garou and Oliver Jones

Honesty, with Bruno and Luck (NDP trio!) wonderful voices~

And this one. LET'S SING THE BLUES!

Duo with Jeremy Fisher - Jolene and Nous voulons l'amour

As for his French songs, I'll only put my favorites, so Ils s'aiment (1983), which is his biggest hit ever, will not have a link in itself, but at least, I mentioned it. I know that no one will actually look at the following section because it's amazingly long.

Je pensais pas (1994) The first one is with Catherine Major and the second one is with Marie Jo Therio

Bénies soient les femmes (2004)

Où la route mène (1994) - Great performance with Luck Mervil, Boom Desjardins, Marie Jo Therio, Bruno Pelletier, Luce Dufault and Yann Perreau.

Violoncelle (2004) - the lyrics actually makes no sense, but it's a song with emotions that you can sing to anyone you like, a friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. :)

Les amoureux du pont de fer (2007)

L'amour est juste (2004)

La liberté (2007)

Sous les cèdres (2007)

Je m'envolerai (2006) - It is even more magical when he sings it acapella in a concert and without mic!

La danse du Smatte (1979) - this one is really upbeat~

Que cherche-t-elle (1986)

Docteur Tendresse (2007)

Qui Sait (1990), with Isabelle Boulay --> this one is my favorite song ever

A medley on Star Académie 2004 (je suis désolée de dire que certains académicien(ne)s ne sont pas super...)

For those who doesn't want to look at all those videos, what can I say? I totally understand because I won't do it myself. I've seen and listened to all those so many times I can sing any of them in an infinite loop. BUT I need to put the "Je t'aime" link again (actually, it's from a different angle), because it's simply amazing (and only 10 seconds of your time). @0:50
